One touch fittings verses Pneumatic barbs

One touch fittings are just that insert the tube and the tube is gripped and sealed in one go, removing is also

easy just push down on the collet and pull out the tube, Sizing is easy just use the OD of the tube to pick the

size of the fitting required so if your tube is 0806 you will require an 8mm fitting, hard tube is best for these

fittings

Pneumatic Barbs are much the same but used on soft tube but sizing is done by the ID of the tube so using 0804 again you

Use the ID measurement which in this case is 04 so you will require a 4mm fitting

Pneumatic barbs are slightly over sized so you get an airtight fit however it’s advisable to restrain the tube using a jubilee clip or similar item
