Today we will talk about the different types of one touch pneumatic fittings
One touch fittings: this do just that you push the pipe into the fitting, one touch, these work with a lock claw that grips the pipe and a rubber seal to make the seal
The one good thing about these is there is a release sleeve that will release the tube so the fitting can be reused
When sizing the item you need to know the OD of the pipe you wish to use.
Stainless steel fittings: much the same construction as the one touch fitting but used in the food industry where chemicals are used during clean down
Bulkhead fittings: these are used to carry the pipe into or out of a control box or other obstruction
One touch fittings come in many designs, to order you will need to know the OD of the pipe your using and the size of the thread you need, the part number will look
Like this XXX06-01 the first part is the size of pipe (06 6mm) and the second is the thread type (01) so this means 1/8, most pneumatic fittings range from 4mm- 16mm
With threads 1/8 (01), 1/4 (02), 3/8 (03) or 1/2 (04)
